Hello everyone,
I want to thank you all for coming to my web site. Here is a little bit of who I am, so you have a better idea of where I come from.
I am a 38 years old man from the South shore of Montreal in Quebec, Canada. My first language is French, but through a lot of work, practice, and video games, I have become bilingual. I am a father of 5 daughters, going from 3 to 12 years old, and have been with the same women for about 18 years now.
I have been a gamer all of my life. Games have always been my preferred hobby since I was 5 years old, playing on the NES. Since, I have been playing SNES, Gamecube, Wii, Switch, Xbox (a bit), Xbox One and went through all the generations of PlayStation consoles. On the portable side, I have owned an original Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, DS, PSP and Vita. I never had a high-end gaming PC, but computers are an important part of life: I am a programmer and have just finished a bachelor degree in computer sciences last year.
For about 5 years, I worked in an independent video games store, which was a competitor to EBGames/Gamestop. It is during those years that I have realized that video games were something very important to me, and a passion grew about communicating with others about games. I wanted to collaborate on something, but never had the chance to. It all changed about 3 years ago…
Through Twitter, I met my friends from Real Game Media, which were looking for writers for an upcoming web site. After talking with the owners, I became part of the group, and I started to communicate on a different scale. My passion for PlayStation products made me a specialist in the team, but I was able to write on any subject.
When the decision was made by the owners of Real Game Media to scale back in scope, and stop maintaining the site due to a lack of people writing, I was sad. I wanted to continue to write, have a platform to do so. With their acknowledgment, I started this site, so I have a location where to centralize all the things I want to communicate. I will review games and talk about video games subjects that I care about. I hope you will follow what I do, and give me your feedback.
Now, you know a little bit more about me. Talk to you soon!
Patrick,
